You can always shore the tank in place with a wedged in piece of lumber or so... some tires as well.

BTT. I would try the boat gas tank route also, and a few extra 5 gallon cans to hold gas. If you run out of gas in the 6 gallon boat tank, the primer bulb on the hose will help you re-prime the fuel line.

    Bump.... hope its working out.

I'm ***uming it was you I saw heading south towing a project on I55 in IL. I was heading North to Chicagoland to pick up a sweet '35 Tudor project, so I only got a quick glimpse and was wishing I was going.

FWIW, JB Weld USED to work, but will not work for more than a short period now days. Ethanol will eat it up pretty quick.

may not help you right now, but you can buy a brand new tank from Speedway. I'd go the boat tank route to get home.

Tuck if you need to get home you can take one of my cars and we can fix your ranchero before you come back next time.

This used to be true. But not anymore.

JB Quik won't hold at all. JB Weld will hold for a short while.

    Modern gas ruins it.

Seals all in a yellow tube will stop a leak And you can actually put it on the leak while it is leaking and it will seal
