I have searched the threads and can't seem to find any help on checking to see whats wrong my temp gauge. It is the metal wound type (at the gauge) and it does not read anything when the engine is warmed up. Is there a way to test it to see if it is fixable? The line that goes from the engine to the gauge is all intact and looks fine and so doe site back of the gauge. If there is a thread someone knows of can you point it to me. All I found was the older gauge types and electrical styles.

    Mucho Gracias!

  3. great way to get help here - be prepared for the pile on!

Check the capillary tube running to the engine for kinks and breaks to start with, and take the end out of the engine and check for crap build up on it.

It may be an ether filled line and sprang a leak.
