Tri-Five with a hot 283 or 327 and a 4-speed? That's like the hot rod from my dad's youth. He probably would have looked askance at a wagon, but I like it!

Pat, your right, but don't take me wrong, but 305 heads or even a set of vortec heads would give more performance. But that **** kills me, when I stop to admire a great looking wagon then look under the hood to see that ****, it just pisses me off. I just hate seeing center bolt valve covers, 305 heads, ect and not a set of old school camel backs.

Hope you plan on some real good gas or at least had harden seats installed.

Your engine looks perfect, don't change a thing! Hats off everybody, he's even using steel fuel line from the pump to carb, take notes, looks great! Mike

I guess I need to respond to my user name, "Help-me-honda", I guess I screwed up right off the bat using that name. I did not think it would be a issue but now knowing the site I understand, I don't know if I can change it now. I guess it started in 1968, when I was 14 yrs. old. My neighbor up the street where I grew up was into cars big time, my brother and I spent our evenings and weekends up there, he was the nicest guy to us and he let us hang out at his garage while he worked on his cars. He had the COOLEST cars ever around. He is actually my mentor.I actually bought two of his straight axle cars in the early 1980's that I still have today. One day he brought home a 1966 Honda 305 scrambler, it was metal flake gold and it was the neatest sounding motorcycle that I had ever heard at that time. It was the thing back then to cut off the muffler and install two washers with a turnbuckle to open and close the pipes. Recently I bought a 1966 305 scrambler and restored it, I painted the frame red and the tank and side cases silver, which were done that way from the factory, very cool bike. It was a show piece and I hated to sell it. Help-me-honda was just a name that came to me when signing on. Hope no one is offended. Wow, were those the days!

Tim, no reason to really explain your name... Look at your thread... verry cool car and a cool build... to question your name is just... well not worth saying, I guess Johnny said it best with a Boy named Sue.. Im not a real vocal person on this site but I have known Tim for ehh 35 years im thinking, and you will not ever meet a more honest hamber than this man with years of restored cool friggin **** that he has been collecting.. to question his user name and not look at what he is doing speaks for itself... im not starting a rant but look at what he is building and if we are all lucky he might show us some of the other cool **** he has been hoarding since I was a kid...
