Hi my name is fred hoffman, im sixteen years old. My interests in cars have developed into a way of life, just like my father. My father grew up in the muscle car around the sixties in the suberbs of New york. He later moved to west coast in the late seventies. My interests in cars are muscle cars but mainly traditional fifties to late sixties hotrods and kustoms. I acquired this taste from going to a local car show on friday nights and seeing the crazy drawings of Ed roth. Who is a big inspiration for me. I am looking for a car, preferably a Ford to fix up and cruise southern california in. The only other thing that will rival my love for american hotrods would be the love for my country. Since i was born i wanted to become a soldier and am my way to be. I am currently in Jr Reserve Officers Training Corps (JROTC) in my highschool and plan to go into the marines as an officer after i graduate college with ROTC. Thanks for allowing me to be a member of this magical website, i love hearing the old stories and looking at the old pictures. -Frederick R. Hoffman

    Welcome from New York Fred.
It is great to see younger people with vision and goals (and a love of 50's and 60's cars). I have a nephew who started his militay career like you. He turned out to be a terrific guy serving in two branches of our service and he is a great husband and father.
Follow your dreams. You defenitely sound like you are headed in the right direction.
Have fun looking for that Ford project and have even more fun cruising in it.

Hello and welcome from Oklahoma. Sounds like you have a plan, both with your life and your car. Good luck with both.
