I had told the story last week about my dad who was visiting WI for his family reunion and had a brother who had a 35 chevy truck that he wanted to give to my dad ...My dad had called and said he had me another truck to go with the 34...between the two I should be able to make a decent runner...I think I wanna go with fenders...maybe bobbed and go with a red suede with cream wheels...I am deffinitly gonna need some rear fenders and a little rust removed from the IFS...or I might run the straight axle off the 34...tell me if you guys think that a FNG has got some potential with this and the 34...joe
here is the 10 bolt that came in the rear..and my cousin had a freshley rebuilt 305 that he did some "work" to ..my dad said .30 over with agood cam and ...he needed cash and my ole' man got it for $400.00 should push this old truc around when its done..
my vote is for fenders and a solid axle with disk brakes Ford Made their vehicles with the sbc in mind even before it was produced
I agree, straight axle all the way. Car IFS (I assume that's what was used) is just goofy to me on an old truck. Although I'm not sure I agree with Upchuck's smart ass comments on the Chevy mill, I'd run it since you got it and it's fresh. Before you bob the bed, find your fenders so you can make sure it all looks right together. Nice cheap start to a cool project!
