I'm having trouble with my carb. I have a single barrel Holley I have rebuilt these carbs several times and I have never had this problem the carb is on the car and the carb is shooting the gas out backwards. I have taken it apart to
Make sure the accelerator pump is In correctly and the problem is still there any suggestion

  2. So what you're sayin' is that "you're gasbackwards"!

    Sorry man I couldn't resist.

But I really don't understand what you mean by "backwards"?

Haha I don't blame you. Whats happenig is that the gas is coming out when the carb linkage returns rather than it coming out when you hit the gas pedal. I hope that helps a bit

  4. So the gas is coming out when the plates are closing? That sounds like you have some linkage on in reverse.

Rev up the engine and close the choke plate with your fingers....before it floods and dies, let off the choke plate and rev it up again . do this a few times, That will pull a ton of gas thru the idle circuit and run all the **** thru and it may idle after that.
