i need some help or a point in the right direction of a bodyman/shop that can take care of this quarter panel damage. someone backed into my car while in a 2 acre storage lot (go figure) also any help with stripping the car to bare metal and then applying epoxy sealant would be appreciated. i have funds and some tools just no space. i would pefer someone that can show me how to work this dent out, but am prepared to pay also. i have reading and researching quite a bit lately but would prefer some input. any and all is appreciated. thank you in advance.
Take it to the local JR. collage body shop. I'm sure the instructor would be glad to do some show and tell during the fix. could be free!! and you can see how it's done too. that's not a bad one, there is some pressure on the top of that dent and the rest looks like it will pop out on its own.
You could talk to john at fleet automotive service. There good people and have done some work on my 56. Not really a body shop but maybe someone there can help you, or turn you on to someone that can help.
road trip to Denver! Ill metal finish that out for you! my weekly metal work blog www.themetalsurgeon.com
Oh man, I think that's a total loss. You should just let me have it. Wut's up cuz!!! Maybe Rich could look at if for you if you bring it by. He's lbgrasa on here.
I did some work on a car that was "fixed" by a couple of JC body shop graduates. 32 Ford P.U. cab. blasted to bare metal. there were easily accessible dents that were not hit even once with a hammer. just bondo. there was also bondo where there was no dents. minor rust HOLES in the lower body were just ignored. I was supposed to just block it and get it ready for someone to paint. these same clowns basically covered a 53 F-100 in bondo for no reason. it was crazy. seems like all they learned was how to mix filler. I'd stay away from those guys.
