I am looking for a replacement wheel for a 57 dodge d100. The wheel I have is really cracked and beat up. I have called grants and was told they didnt have an adapter for my truck. Has anyone found something that works with these old dodges?

  2. i dont have pics from m willys. but i cut it down and used the orginal hub. I cut it out cleaned it up and then welded what i needed on it to make the wheel i wanted to use work. it works for now. the entire system is going to be changed later.

Ididit may have adapters you need.... http://www.ididitinc.com/

I'm using one of their adapters for a '63 Cadillac steering wheel to fit a more modern steering column.

If the hub in the old wheel is big enough it shouldn't be too hard to cut it down and drill and tap it to be able to use the other pieces of a Grant style horn kit.

I did the same thing to a Willys wheel, cut the spokes off and drilled the hub to fit the Grant system

I took my whole column into a oreilly auto parts and went through all the grant adaptors I found a gmc truck adaptor that had the same splines but it was VERY! tight. i bought it and with some persuading (with a BIG hammer it fit just fine Ive had my grant on the stock column for a few years now and my 57 D100 is my daily driver no issues. I went with the challenger Tuff wheel grant repop. and made the stock horn ****on fit since the horn diameter is the exact same size. I wish I could find the adaptor box or wrote down a P/N but I will keep looking in my garage and if i find it i will post it here.
