I picked up a pair of Fatman dropped uprights and dropped steering arms earlier this year from a older guy off eBay. He bought the car with them installed and didn't like the "low" look. He didn't get them sold on eBay for his asking price of $350 so he took my offer of $250.

Hoping I have time to get them on my car this weekend. I was also thinking about cutting the coils.

What do you think, 1/2 coil or a full coil? I'll already be getting 2 1/2 in. with the dropped uprights. How much more do you think a 1/2 or full coil will add.

I'm hoping I can just swap out the uprights without replacing any other parts for now...anyone see any problems with this? Eventually I'd like to do a full front end rebuild kit from Kanter's, just don't have the time right now.

Guess I should have clarrified that...1952 Chevy Delux 2 Door.

I'm tempted to go a full coil but I know I can alawys cut more, can't really add any back on.

Be prepared for the brake line clearance issues. Removing more than a full wrap.

yeah, start with 1 coil cut...it'll look good, those chevy springs have a lot of coils compared to my ford, you'll be fine.
