Also the fairgrounds track is celebrating 50yrs there with a fan appreciation night. The West Capitol Raceway Alumni Assoc. which I belong to is holding it's annual Hall of Fame presentation too, with a picnic and display of about 30 or so vintage race cars. I'll be there with my car.
Joe,I'll be there.Hopefully with my RPU. Cleatus the show is Saturday.The gates open @ 10:00 the burnout contest is @ 12:00 and Jumpin' Johnny will be doing a couple of jumps through out the day.There will also be live bands. Scott and the Blue Collar guys are trying to bring a cool gathering to Sacramento so we all need to get out there and support it.

Hay nick I lined up a golf cart to use for the show so I can cart you around some of the time. Things are coming together good for the show.We got some great raffle prizes,Two auto dimming welding helmets,(not harbor freight cheepies) 5 gear wrench sets,a ballance job from Rex Hutchenson Racing Engines,a wirring kit,5 shifter knobs and t shirts from Kustom Gear,and much more. I think all the cameras were malfunctioning due to the 110 heat.....damn now I know why I stay in the bay area! Great show though...just had to keep drinking to stay hydrated.....the stunts were extremely cool....Johnny would step up to a microphone and tell ya what he was about to do...put on a helmet and strap in and crash something! Fucking awesome! I would be a little suprised if they pull it off again next year as it seemed impossible to me that they made enough to come close to covering expenses...but what do I know?? I hope they do it again as it really did kick ass!
I only live about five miles away and almost didnt go it was so hot. Its a good spot and the Johnny stunts were cool. I got there kinda late and didnt see all the cars and was told some had left. Iv got some pics still in the camera. Got a good one (I think) of Johnny ramming the top off a car in mid air.
sorry for not showing...my leg wasn't up for the 2 hour+ drive...and the heat...waaahhhh!!! had three of my club brothers up there, they had a blast! see you soon! nic
Hey my head just stopped spinning....and i just want to say THANKS to all of you who came out and supported our show. The heat was crazy and some of you actually stayed to the end...you guys are troopers. As I was going from one direction to the other making sure everything was going ok there were a couple of times I could stop and watch for a "few" seconds. I did notice people having a good time, the bands were sick, the crashes were CRAZY, the burnouts were out of hand and GUIDO was just GUIDO. Hopefully I'll have some pictures tommrow to post. Thanks again to all who came and for those who didn't we'll see yah next year. And just maybe it won't be so fucking hot...... Scott
it was pretty cool, was there for 45 minutes then the wife started bitchin bout the heat so we left...oh and some girl lifted her shirt and an 8 yr old boy fell out of a tree. Don't know why she was pissed. that entertainment to me. hehehe
Good show. Caught the tail end of it. Hopefully next year I'll be a participant rather than a spectator. Gives me more of a reason to stay all day than just an hour. Guider
