Well unless it gets sold out from under me, which I was promised it wouldn't, this will be my new project.

Let me start by saying, I am getting this for a great price! It's a 59 Apache step side with mods already. Independent front suspension (I think from a camaro, not positive), ford 9" rear with c-notch, 4 wheel disc brakes and a 437 Caddy motor (unsure if I'm grabbing this as I want a 350).

How much do you think this is worth at this point, based off of the photos?

    Here come the pics!

Don't ask me about the tail lights...no idea at this point! Haha I may weld 'em up and put the stocks on...if I can find them.

it has a Volare suspension. The firewall is gone...the front sheetmetal is kind of funky.

Should be worth a grand or so.

I'd run the caddy if you can get it at a good price, great torque and driver engine, you wont get that from a 350. for reference Im a small block chevy guy.

OK, now I see the caddy engine isnt built yet.

The firewall has been cut out, and a custom one made...I have no idea why, the stock firewall works just fine in those trucks.

The front fenders are missing about 8" at the rear. Looks like it might have been turned into a tilt front, but it's a strange way to do it.

I wouldn't buy it, especially if I were you and didn't know much about trucks, this is a tough one to learn on!

I like the challenge, I didn't know anything about my 53 4-dr when I built it. I just meant I don't know the firewall.

The rears of the fenders are there, in another picture and yes, he said it's a tilt front.

Thank you, I'll definitely be asking for help! I don't see the point if it ain't a challenge. Unfortunately I lost my 53 in a divorce and had to sell it.

Anyone know if it would be easy to convert it back to a non-tilt hood?

Just get some new fenders, and whatever other parts on the front have been modified.

That's what I figured. Not sure that I like the tilt idea. Though I can weld, maybe I can just put the fenders back to together (or at least try before dishing out the cash).

The Cab looks good. From my experience that is the most important part as far as the body goes. Anyway, I was going to say 1000 or less for sure, so looks like a good price, esp with the engine. I would try and get that engine going just for something different.

If it doesn't have a ***le at this point it's parts to me. Like squirrel I'd p***. There are complete unmolested trucks with ***les for close to that.

VIN is located on door driverside post and top of frame near near original steering box location write down numbers and have DMV run them and hope they clear if not walk away.

Okay, so further talks. The frame is from an 80's chevy that has been modded to fit the 59 Apache. Any thoughts on that?

With all due respect, judging by the questions your aksing this project might be out of your skill set. Im not saying you cant learn as you go, and see it through to finished. However there's a reason "projects" like this get past around like they do. It aint gonna be an easy fixer upper. ***le less vehicles can present a whole other problem if you do manage to get it all built and ready to drive. Good luck, keep us posted on any progress.
