I'm removing the old harness from my car, and the part to the trunk runs under the door jambs. I have everything disconnected but it won't pull through. Any tips?

Have you popped out all the grommets? I have been hung up there before.

Sometimes the older cars have that thick sheath on the that will catch on anything. Might want to start at one end and jiggle to the other till you find the grommet or corner its stuck on. Not a fun job if your trying to salvage the harness.

Sometimes it just as easy as going back and looking at the whole path that it cover's for something thats hanging it up from moving.. Since we don't know what your exactly working on we can't say anything exact.

I suddenly feel pain in my crotch after reading that .

It's a 63 Rambler. I have the wire all the way free right up to where it meets on each side of the floor. Think I might try cutting it off and pulling it through the other way, since I'm not trying to save the harness at all.

I just literally laughed out loud which i never do! I love the surprises on here! ANd if your not keeping it the take the strongest pliers you have and pull wire by wire, kind of like the picture up there....

Take the door plates off. The wire runs under the edge of the plates, between the plate and the pinch weld in the floor. With the plates off the wire comes right up. You need to pull the plastif piece at teh bottom of the B pillar if it's a four door. IIRC the wires go through the pillar, and you need to remove that access cover to get them in the holes.

Great advice, ask a man who owns one. They never make wire access easy. I usually find some body seam sealer has held them down on me.
