Does anyone have any pics of hot rods with the throttle linkage exiting thru the top of the cowl?? I heard about a green sedan with a pretty slick set up but cannot remember what car they were talking about, anyways any pics would be apprciated.. thx...
This site has been created by a fellow HAMBer and is one of the best collections on the 'net .... The "it ain't easy being green " A is here ... http://public.fotki.com/wackydave/cars_-_various_themes/hot_rods/ford_model_as_1928-31/page2.html and some more good stuff here ... http://public.fotki.com/wackydave/cars_-_various_themes/hot_rods/old_school__primer_rods/ The Green A was also featured in Street Rodder within the last couple of years. The crazy chop and channel forced the throttle linkage to come out of the cowl. Nice car but I could never fit later papa al
thanks, Laverda. that was the one they were talking about. Any other pics of cars with a similar linkage set up??
That's stupid. Why would you do that? Of all the A's I see, that's the only ne I've ever seen with that set up. Is his pedal ***embly so radically differen than everybody elses that he needs to give his cowl a *****? Sometimes being different is just being different. Beautiful car otherwise.
thats ****ing rad. It would be so much easier for me to set it up like this also. thanks for the pics..
here's a pic of what it looks like under the cowl top. you can kind of make out what's going on with the pedal, it's kinda cluttered under there with the cowl steering and the swing mt. brake pedal/ master cylinder under there too but it all works well and is easy to access everything since the cowl top is dzus fastened on. here's a couple picture of what the car looked like, i blew a head gasket in the pontiac and am going to put a chevy engine in it and sell it in the next couple of weeks. (i know i hate myself for doing it too but could really use the money for the race car and the pontiac engine will live again just in a different car)
