Well my wife and I just made a move to Okinawa (like 4 months ago) and with work and everything else that goes along with moving...well... I have been slowly un packing the house and getting setted in. As of this afternoon the front room, kitchen, and living/dining room is complete. Now I just gotta dig through the rest of the boxes to find the family photos and then it`s off to the shop and start working on something. Enjoy Viva <!-- / message --><!-- attachments -->
Say hello to the girls on Gate 2 street for me if you are near Kadena AFB. I'm sure they are still working the bars 40 years later.
The pad is lookin very cool, Elvis seems to be happy there. Movin is no fun, so congrats on settlin in and gettin the joint lookin very cool. ~sololobo~
That's a pretty big room for a Japanese house. We had a three bedroom in Tohoku but none of the rooms were that big. Enjoy the car scene there.
If the memories of Gate 2 and BC street are the first thing on your mind when you think of Okinawa then I guess you guys didn`t get out much...or at least didn`t make it past the bars And yes Elivs is still alive...he`s haning out on the beach with a fresh Mai Tai Viva
We just moved also. Downsized from the mansion to a small house. Only the two of us at home now. Workshop is 4 times the size of the house and only 50 feet from the back door. 1 acre of land too, so I'm a happy chappie ....
I`m working on it buddy. I got my eye on a chopped 4 door `49 Merc that needs to be saved. I just need to get the owner to atleast let me put in my shop and out of the weather. Viva
I just spent the eveing in Naha with some friends while the wiffy was out tearing up the town with her high school mates. Gotta love being the DD for the night Viva
Good luck on "The Rock". I was there in the early 60's, Air Force, maint. F-105's, again in the 70's (during reversion) with the "Habus". Back as a civilain contractor in 83-84 workin' F-86's. Sure saw a lot of changes thru the years.
