I was talking to a guy today, and he said that the seat hold down bolt pattern is the same on "many years" of Chevrolet trucks. Like a 80's or even 90's chev truck seat will bolt into a 66 c-10 using the 66 bolt holes in the floor. Does anyone know this is a for sure thing? Thanks in advance, Dennis
Dennis, I'm not so sure about seats that new, BUT, I can tell you for certain that a seat from a 67-72 Chevrolet is a direct bolt in. I scored on a nice black vinyl saddle seat out of a 71 Chevrolet, and thought I would have to swap the brackets off the older seat. It dropped right in, and all the bolt holes lined up perfectly. It won't be hard to figure out if the newer seats are the same. Find one, and grab a tape measure.
I got I seat from a 73 Chevy truck for my 66, and it wasnt even close. The seat nose dived in the front so I had to make custom brackets.
73 up trucks are different... Makes sense that 60-72 would be the same, those trucks are all very similar under the skin.
