I liked it a lot in hiboy form, but you're right, the fenders work! Love it when a plan comes together.

Yes, apron is from Brookville as well. It seems slightly narrower than an original but I just had to "pry" it out a little.

I had to pie cut the rear fenders to bring them in to the frame on the front edge but that may have to do with my 70 year old frame. Also, it has a '40 rear cross member so maybe the frame is slightly narrower. The body also had some work done in the wheel wells so they may be slighty shallower.

All these factors come in to play but all in all I am pleased with the Brookville products. ...and no, I am not sponsored by them :)

Yup, 2 inch. One of the reasons I bought the car.

    Fits me well...or I fit well :)

    Thanks guys for positive feedback.

Now I can say it's my car if that makes any sense. It still lacks in the detail department, interior and more but I feel I can take ownership.

Everybody has a different idea how a hot rod should look and that makes the world go around.

    This is how it started:

I really like it now with fenders. And I can appreciate the B headlight bar being rare and all, but I think it needs to be dropped. Other than that it is perfect.

Looks really great Rolf. I could take that coupe either way but the fenders look really nice on there. Thanks for the pm the other day. I appreciated your nice comments . Your a good guy and friend. I agree on the chrome windshield frame as you mentioned. A dropped headlight bar is not really a streetrod thing. It was/is a hotrod thing . It would look good. Just a thought that you have already had. Stance works. You get a A ++++++ Svenski! Now roll with it.

Very nice! I know street rods have given them a bad name , but I still like the dropped headlight bars also. Any ideas on shiney paint colors?

it makes you wonder why people take the fenders off in the first place.

You are right about the bar, I just don't like those uber shiny all stainless bars.

Besides, I like the kinda "nerdy" look of the stock bar.

Here is a car that influenced me quite a bit:

It will probably stay in primer for quite a while, I just like to drive and not worry about a rock chip.

Really like the new look! Love the red oxide! I agree, I think it could use a chrome windshield frame though.

    Rolf,
That's another _real_ hot rod; you obviously have the "eye".

I continue to reference your A coupe when making glacially slow progress on my Tudor.
