thx ... it sits lower in the back ... raised to get on trailer ... thx ... the rear end not really that bad ... pulled welds loose ... but the paint is screwed around the back glass ... guy used screws too long ... went into outer shell (body) and popped the paint off in a couple places ... what a dumb Ass!

Long story short ... the guy is a drunk and/or pot head ... he is called pothead Dave by a fellow HAMB'er .. anyway ... I went by once a week, stressed how I needed the car ... was told 60 to 90 days at the most ... but here's the kicker ... only 3 times in the 6 months I found him working on my car ... so every time I explained to him I needed the car ... this is what he says to me ... "that is a custom interior and it takes time" my response was " if you had been working on my car instead of the other jobs you would have been done with it months ago" his reply " they were good priority customers" I said " then what the Hell am I?" so then he says "I need to pick up side jobs to pay me bills" Well if you had of finished my car in a timely manner, you would have had money to pay your bills ... can you believe this shit? So, when he calls me to let me know I can come get it ... he informs me there is something wrong with the rear end, that I should bring a trailer ... keep in mind I drove the car there ... which was not the only time I have driven it ... so, I show up with a trailer and find the damage ... not only did he NOT tell me about it, he tried to smear paint over it hoping I wouldn't see it ... I just about lost my mind when I saw it, which was the first thing I saw as I approached the back of the car. So I questioned him about the paint damage ... he had no response ... So he said we need to settle up before you load the car ... I just hope I deducted enough money to cover the repairs ... any way I needed to vent! ... I feel a little better ... just glad to have Betty home and done with Pothead Dave!

Same sort of thing happened to me when i built my first car the trimmer spilt contact glue all over the front over the freash paint, his little girl was playing with it (go figure). but i ended up getting the seats and hood linning for free......
Anyway your ride still looks sweet keep it up
    cheers Darren

Sorry to hear that this dipshit messed up the car, but at least you have her home now safe and sound!!! I would make sure to let everybody on the HAMB know that pothead is really a butcher and to stay away!!! Car looks absolutely fantastic by the way bro!!!

  15. Car looks awesome gadget... sorry to hear about the damage. When I had an upholstery shop I would only do one at a time and treated every car with respect.

thx Jim ... I didn't mind fill in work ... I guess multi tasking in his mind is a joint in one hand and a beer in the other ... not knocking his pleasures ... just wanted him to do the job I was paying him to do and to take care of my car ... not damage it ... anyway it's done and now time to move on and get it ready for the road ... thanks ... well I got over being pi$$ed about the damage to my car ... now I am back working on it trying to get it ready to drive ... after I got the rearend out ... I found a couple other items that needed to be re-worked from the previous owner ... I guess the welds breaking on the car was a good thing ... what turned out ... it was a safety issue with the way they put it in ... really don't know how to explain the hack job ... I saved some items and will post pics tomorrow ... to won't believe it!

  24. I'm sorry JG. There's so many stupid people out there claiming to know what they're doing. I once had a exhaust shop in NJ put a new dual exhaust in my chevy, cuz my welder was insufficient. I ended up with a car on fire 70 miles out on the PA turnpike on the way to the road rockets rumble, because the wood floor in the bed was too close to the exhaust. His explanation was that he didn't know that I was going to load it up so much??!!!?? Amazing right

Car looks amazing gadget! Loving the white interior and the black/copper combo. Sucks to hear about your ordeal.
