Found a 57 Divco, not worth saving, but is it worth parting out???

It's complete, just too rusty, complete driveline, all doors and parts work good, bumpers, fenders, hood seem to be worth saving... Didn't know if there is enough market for the parts. I know about the Divco Club, working on that.

Hate to see it go to the s****yard for $$$

    Thanks,
    Dan

Put it on EBay, you'd be amazed at what people will give big bucks for!

Does it still have the "stand up drive" parts? Those parts seem to be the first thing "DELETED" over the years. Not THAT rusty  at least it has enough metal to give it the actual shape. Mostly flat metal and square corners. I've seen worse resurrected and these trucks are TRULY RARE! If it could be had cheap, I would buy it, if I was closer, and either part it out or try my hand at a frame off. My Dad was a "milkman" and I still have scars on my shins from slipping my foot on ice/snow from climbing in in upstate NY!

It looks like it's in much better shape than the junk I drag home. Too rusty means there isn't enough for a pattern.

If that's too rusty to save there'd be ZERO cars in our hobby.

That baby does NOT look to be too rusty to be saved. I've seen people start with a lot less than that!

Acme speed shop, the coolest Divco I have ever seen. Looks like this one could be saved! ~sololobo~

    Cool!
Drove one in the late 50's as a helper for Dairy Mart Farms here in San Diego.

You are correct. I just looked at that. Had no idea this guy was on here. I'm having issues with picture viewing/ loading on my computer. Also the truck was not in dearborn.

My uncle has one sitting out in his acreage. Guess I better light a fire underneath him to do something with it!
