Somewhere in my shop there is a Ford bearing retainer (open drive) with the machine work to done to fit the back of a LaSalle. From there you're going to need the LaSalle output shortened and resplined and Ford pattern holes drilled and tapped into the LaSalle case. (this is literally a punch and drill operation with the retainer in place)

And here's the deal – It's yours if you stop calling that '37 LaSalle a toploader. :)

I'm moving a bunch of stuff today – I'll look for it if you think you'll use it.

Dude that rules!! Thanks for the offer
I already have one of those and a source for a already to go shortend shaft.. But I was taking some measurements and I think I'm
Gonna leave the tail shaft in place it's only a few inches from my crossmember and is gonna be the easiest... Thanks dude for the offer... Does this mean I can still call it a top loader lasalle?

I like top shift Lasalle transmissions!

I've been secretly keeping my ear to ground for one... I have a feeling I'm not going to be able to keep a '39 trans alive for very long in my coupe.

Anyhow congrats man, I can't think of anything else that would compliment your car better!
