Great project. That baby has a face only a mother would love.
Looks pretty solid and will make a great family car.

I do some work on my Edsel at the last weekend. Left and right inner corner in the back are good now. And some cut out on the left front rocker.

Sounds like there ought to be more E-cars around?! Do you have any Edsel clubs that keeps track of the cars? In Sweden I estimate we have about 500 Edsels alltogether (including restoration objects).

Keep up the good work - we want to see more Villagers in the streets ; !

    Hi Mat

We have no Clubs for Edsels. Wow, there are so many E-Cars in Sweden. It´s not so far to you but the US Car Scene in Sweden is bigger than in Germany.

I hope you have some pics of Edsels?

Yeah - I know the American car scene is big in Sweden compared to most countries (except perhaps USA/Canada). I have posted pics of my own Villager, if that is what you mean... Otherwise I am so new to H.A.M.B. I haven't got time to post more pictures yet  !

Since 2 Month still standing on the project today I do something on my Edsels. For the Coupe I got back the rear and front springs from my blacksmith. The front springs are dropped 2cm. Thats a little bit over 3/4". When they installed in the car come 5cm (2") nearer on the ground! Today I paintet the rear ones in black.

On the Villager I cut out some more crusty metal. So I can taste my new Aircutter.

Spend some time on the door alignment. The p***enger side of mine I did first and it wasnt so bad. But the drivers side was a lot like your car. I spent a lot of time jacking around with the A pillar to get it all to line back up.
I actually got the drivers side fitting better than my p***enger side, probably because the 2nd time around I knew what to look for. My p***enger side rear im not happy with, but it will have to be good enough.

I had to build up all the structure under the A pillar first so I had something to jack around on.

I had to cringe:eek:, when looking at your floor pictures. Im still getting over all the work I did on mine. Like having flashbacks.;) But now that part is done and im moving on.:D

Keep it up, it looks great!

    Hi Greg

You are right, the p***enger side is in a better shape than drivers side. But now is not a good moment to cut the p***enger side out because I think I have 2 Cars after that ;-)

So, today I do some work. It`s not so Easy to fix it when there ist no metal in the A-Pillar to welding :)
So it was more easier to make the enforcement sheet.

At the weekend I had a little time for a little metal work. It is a good feeling to weld something in and not only cut out! :D
