    Boring is good !
    Boring is dependable
    Boring is not temperamental
    Boring always starts
    Boring gets good mileage
    Boring is forgiving
    Boring doesn't load up.

Can you just follow me around and keep telling me that? My whole point of this car is just a nice cruiser that I can drive any where. My plymouth got a little out of hand and does the opposite of most of these. But it does go like snot when I get on it....

  2. No I can't follow you around, but I booked you an appointment at the tattoo shop this afternoon . They said it would take15 minutes tops

Check this mill out from a 55. This was on the HAMB a while back. All of these people are right of course but look how cool this is? I know it's all about the combo so build the engine the way you want, mod the drivetrain to suit and roll with it.

I have full length headers on the built SBC in my 59 wagon. They don't stick down too far, no real clearance issues.

That being said, I think the 2 1/2" rams horns would be best for your mild cruiser.

That is exactly what I had in mind with the dual quad set up.

You want to run corvette valve covers and the draft tube with dart heads? I have to say something. Aftermarket heads don't fool to many people. My opinion if you run dart heads you might as well go with a 350.

If you're going for looks go with a good set of camelbacks. Guides, hard seats and 1.6 2.02 valves, a little 1/16" angle mill and pin the studs. Go mild on the cam with a good old C4B, and Petronics in the stock distributer. More then enough power.

Put a set of double humps on and go have fun. A 327 develops decent power and it sounds great. Plus it's original. I had a GM Z28 aluminum intake with the matching cam on a 327 and it was dam quick.

Unless you want all out HP sometimes you just have to settle on "fun". A 327 will deliver a lot of fun.

I get your point on the heads, but I figured I would just take a die grinder to the edges, fill the holes and call them close enough. I have seen a few people do this to after market head and it is close enough for the look I am going for.

Pretty much my train of thought on the engine. The 500 cfm dual fours might get the mouth breathers excited when the hood is open but that is a lot of carburetor for a mild street engine to handle.

I had a 327 With The little Corvette dual fours but the engine had 2.02 heads, Big Engle cam and 12.5 Jahns pistons in it to handle them. it also went through the best premium gas sold in Central Texas faster than the Austin Hambers can go through free Shiner or Star. The factory setup with the little Carters is a lot of carb for those engines. It did run like Jack the bear though.

Try the Edelbrock performer EPS. You can get it with an oil filler tube
