Some more R&R done to the '58 Biscayne, bushings and brakes, and a "static drop" of the front end. Sticking with the stock brakes as this is remaining a 235 powered car and after all it really is a boulevard bomb. The rear end is at stock height and will remain so until the rear axle is gone through. I'm really quite happy with it, it will be fundamentally sound and safe, no rat-rodariffic nonsense. Paint will involve very early Watson style freeway scallops ala first version of Jim Doss' 58 Impala. The steelies will get WWW and Lancers, other wheel choices include 50 spokes with pinners and a set of S/S and tribar spinners with pinners. Still contemplating what to do about the interior. I'm getting closer and closer, thanks to my CC bro Jeremy.
Did I mention I got my S10 T5? I'm thrilled to have it, I was getting to the point where I was going to just stick in an SBC and a TH200R4 because as far as I am concerned it had to have an overdrive.
You are right on! What a stance. Takes me back to what looked "cool" back-in-the-day. Keep up the good fight.
I can't wait to get back on mine. It's next to be finished an almost done. It'll be my daily local driver, since it doesn't have overdrive. I really like 58 Biscaynes. Yours is looking great
