hey guys, sarah and i are going to KC this weekend for a tattoo convention at embasy suites. were going to run down early saturday morning, find a cheap hotel, and then leave sunday night. i was just wondering if there way anything else going on this weekend in KC just thought itd be cool to run into some HAMBers tim
I can turn you onto an inexpensive but decent hotel but don't know enough about the town anymore to help with the rest. But don't worry, anywhere in KC, you'll be danger close to a bunch of HAMBers.
I'm flying into KC Friday a.m. and flying back to the Houston Sunday p.m. I'm going to a Mud-A-Thon in Paola (20 miles south of Olathe). Drink a lot of Busch Lite and get generally all rednecked up. All are welcome, should be close to 200 trucks making the run through the pit going for a Full Run. Big party afterwards.
Its kind of a quiet weekend here. The 22 and 23 their is a gas and steam tractor show in Adrian. 45 min south. It should have a good turn out for the car show too.
Holy shit son! That's just about as 'neck as you're gonna git. Do you ever go out to El Campo to check out the mud races there? I ain't sayin' how I know they're down there mind you...

Yeah it's my hometown, and my cousins put on this sanctioned event once, sometimes twice a year. I have always helped out. I run the timing system. Yeah gets pretty interesting after a case of coldies and the hot summer sun. But an awesome time none the less. BTW thanks on AAA, they are going to do my caddy flatty alt and solenoid, and they're damn reasonable. Wyatt

we're staying close to i-29 i dont realy know kc at all. ive just driven threw it a couple of times. if theres a good band playing some were id go check it out. other wise if anybodys around around 10/11 sat night and want to drag there hot rods over to the hotel parking lot to b.s. for a while thatd be cool. tim
I don't know about any cool bands, the Jefferson Airplane disbanded a long time ago. If I don't make a bat trip with the Ravin I'll be right here trying to sort out an engine problem Saturday night, unless of course I get it done during the day by some freak of the imagination.
