    Hello all,
Anyone know where I can get a reversed eye rear mainleaf for a model A ?
Or possibly a place that does this type of work?
    See ya at the BRIC!

I got mine done at a place that mostly does suspension work for big trucks. They have the equipment to make leaf springs and coil springs. I took it in during my lunch break one day when I had jury duty and picked it up that afternoon. They knew what I was asking them to do and the best part was the cost-- $5.00! No kidding!
The place I went to was Champion Spring Service on Henderson Street in Fort Worth, Texas.

I would think that any relatively large city with some industrial businesses will have a similar place that can help you.

    Good luck!

From what I understand, you can reverse it yourself with a couple of blocks of wood and a sledgehammer.

Do a search. I bet there's something about it in the Techomatic. Its been covered here many many times. (thats how I know about it).

I've never done it before, but the procedure breaks down like this: Remove the main leaf from the pack. place between two chunks of wood or steel. Hit with hammer. gently m***age that leaf till its bent the opposite way it is now...re***emble with the pack. Your eyes are now reversed.

You need to ask someone who has done it for more specific info.

    Good luck.

Try Detroit Eaton Spring. They are right across the street from Tiger Stadium. I think you're in Wisconsin, but they'll send it to you. They do nice work, I got mine from them. Hope this helps.

Thanks for all the help. Think I'll pop for a new spring from Speedway and send the main over to Eaton as suggested
