I have a 41 tudor and need to replace the starter I'm not a dummy but I can't see how to take the old starter off to replace it. Any and all help would be apreciated.
the two bolt that pass through the starter are long and tread into the housing ,have 1 or 2 5/16 course nuts handy when you remove starter as tthese bolts hold the starter togeher ,,

Flatty starters need to be tilted and swung to the side a bit on installation or removal. If you have headers in the way sometimes it can be tricky. Just wiggle it a round a bit and it should go. As you can see, you need to get the big drive around the side of the ring gear in the tight confines of the pan.
