I have a 41 tudor and need to replace the starter I'm not a dummy but I can't see how to take the old starter off to replace it. Any and all help would be apreciated.
the two bolt that p*** through the starter are long and tread into the housing ,have 1 or 2 5/16 course nuts handy when you remove starter as tthese bolts hold the starter togeher ,,

Flatty starters need to be tilted and swung to the side a bit on installation or removal. If you have headers in the way sometimes it can be tricky. Just wiggle it a round a bit and it should go. As you can see, you need to get the big drive around the side of the ring gear in the tight confines of the pan.
