Hey there. We're three guys from Canada. Each of us have been on the site lurking for years and decided we should make our presence known. Here's some pictures of what we've done. There will be more to follow.
and hey if your into bitchin' music here's the Stockers. One of our members plays in this sweet band. Lots of Rod & Sickle related tunes! AND touring with Electric Frankenstein this summer! http://thestockers.bandcamp.com/ http://www.facebook.com/TheStockers
Where is Victoria? Is that where the queen lives? I just sent my latest build there 2 weeks ago, keep an eye open for it. Satin copper 54' F100. Slammed, WWW.
Haha only a bunch of Trailer Queens here! Victoria is British Columbia's capital city and is located on Vancouver Island. Its pretty much Canada's most southern point west of Ontario....I know this is probably a lot info that you didn't care to know. I'll definitely be keeping an eye out for it! i'll snap a picture of it for you when I do see it an photoshop the queen into it.
Thanks. We're quickly working away to have more rides and tunes hitting the streets and stages for the summer!
You fail to mention that Victoria is and was and always will be the cradle of Hot Rodding in Canada. Just turn up at Francellis Coffee any Saturday night and talk to all the olde fartes that have been building Island Rods since the 40's. Why? the best weather and most rust free iron in Canada PLUS the West Cost Cali & Seattle influence since the dawn of RodTime. Why because I was there and am still here plus lots of new blood that understand the Street Rod Culture (or lack of it). This year, I'm the guy driving the slammed bronze 54 F100, last year the green 53 F. or the Old Style Triumph Special. Look for you out there on the street. Smoke 'em if you have 'em.
Yeah 53 we get down there to the swap every so often. My band is playing with Electric Frankenstein in Portland in August. The 59 wagon is the clubs cruiser, bitchin car, not too many 4 door hard top wagons out there. Victoria is pretty cool. Pretty good local scene, and the burgers at Francelli's are decent but its usually a lot of the same ol' same ol' Kelowna/Penticton/Osoyoos have it way better IMHO.
sorry for the late welcome, but WELCOME! some nice stuff you guys got! you hit the right place! Carsten
so now the project is a 50 Shoebox 2 dr seeeedan, going to be a 60's tribute flathead, T5 trans, dropped spindles & rear end, power disc brakes, maybe chopped if I can get Tim Wilcox to do the honours.
