Brookville Model A Body Question

    These are part of the trunk hinges on my Model A roadster body. This may be a silly question ,but why are they notched ? Thanks, Bill

    Could they be clearance for a thrust bushing, or shim to center lid?

    They bolt notch side against the inside of the trunk lid flange . It is flat. The lower one is bent from overtightening the screw. Bill

    It for adjustment. The centre hole/bolt acts as a pivot.

    I agree with that the slot is for adjustments. Just don't understand the notch? Bill

    The notch is there because the trunk drip rail that that piece goes up against has a little nub on it.. The part is notched to clear the nub and keep the piece straight.....
