    I had 2 c.o.e trucks a1955 ford and a 1950 ford
one day while walking out in the yard I noticed that the 55 was burned out on the inside of the cab a fire had started and stopped by its self (electrical)
now I can focus one the 50
it is sitting on a gmc heavy duty frame with a 427 chev engine under the hood
the truck is parked in my garage waiting for some attention

Oh man... Sorry for your loss. What a nice looking truck too.
At least you have a back-up. Let's see it if you have any photos.

The black Ford above has had the diesel removed and now has a Chevy big block. The chassis is a late Chevy chassis, i don't know what year.

Can I ask what a 1950 Ford COE cab and chassis weighs? This is a REALLY ROUGH truck, had a box body, all that is left of that is the floor. Is a COE Flathead the came engine used in cars, is it worth pulling? This truck doesn't have much worth removing other than the stainless, unless you can point out some items I should look at. Depends on the wheelbase as well as the model F5 or F6 two speed rear end or?
its probably about 5000lbs to 5500 lbs from what i remember of the specs of my 52 f6 134" WB
would have same engine as car or truck 49-53.
might have the truck oilpan or a steped pan like the merc??? seems like my 53 c600 has a different pan like that.
save anything and everything you can especially the parts specific to the coes. does it have the running boards and the battery cover box?
how about some pictures? no matter how rough someone may be able to fix it?

Thanks JF, this thing sat outside in New England long enough for a hole to rust through the roof that a small child could fit through. Is the Grille the same as pickup or unique to the COE? Bob

I know the upper grill valence is different, at least on the 51 52's so probably different on the 48-50's as well. the curved profile is different to match the coe fenders.

I think the grill and lower valence are the same as regular trucks but I could be wrong.
is the stainless strip that goes down the center of the hood in good shape? those always seem to be missing or bent up.

speaking of 48-50 coe's watched the movie "we bought a zoo" with my kids over the weekend, theres a nice 48-50 coe in it briefly.
