Can someone help me with a mechanical brake light switch?

1-how much does that little arm have?

2-what do you use to connect the wire to the round post? Will the typical female bullet terminal fit?

3- can these be found at any local parts stores or are they mail order only (was there a make/year that used these for lookup)?

Question 1 has no answer 'cause it doesn't ask anything concrete.
Question 2 : Typical female bullet fits. Yes.
Question 3 : Early Chevy pickups, just look in the stoplight switch section of the illustrated Standard Ignition( whatever line your store carries)electric parts catalog.

The other one I was wondering about was the pull style that you see a Bunch on bikes/choppers. Would that work on the brake pedal?

I am collecting parts to wire a guys '46 Chevy. It currently has no brake switch installed. Trying to get a game plan for that part of it.

I'm running two of these switches on my '49 , one I converted to be on when brake pedal is "up" to lock up my converter on the 700r4 . You can cut , bend or weld the arm to fine tune it too your application !

You should be able to buy one of the stock brake light switches almost anywhere. Rockauto has them on their website for under $6.
