Nice find, and it's loaded with accessories; A/C, rocker and fender shield moldings, bumper guards, door handle and gas door scratch shields.
Looks very much like a car that a friend in San Diego restored in the mid/late 70's. Does it have clear plastic seat covers?

looks like the one we used. run a hot wire to the fuse block, fill with ice, place on back seat, fan blows over ice, vents directed towards the back of neck, remember how go it felt that Texas summer of 1966 along with battery powered record player sitting on the console of the 64 impala convertible talk about cruising in style

Change the oil (in fact change ALL fluids), pour marvel mystery oil or the like in each cylinder and allow it to sit overnight before even turning the motor over. You don't want to damage anything in trying to bring it to life. Keep the hot side of the battery cable loose enough (or a cut off switch) so you can quickly pull it off in case the starter sticks. Connect a temp fuel tank (I have a 1 QT gravity feed tank that hangs on the hood) to the fuel pump so you don't **** old fuel and debris into the carb.

Flush entire brake system out with DOT5, rebuild all cylinders before even trying to drive it!! Flush cooling system too. Remove the fuel tank and have it cleaned and inspected. Replace the neck seal and all rubber lines (brakes, fuel, heater etc). New fanbelts and I replace the points with a Pertronix unit. You're basically doing all the maint. it didn't get in the last 30 years.

Hopefully with just a little caution and some work, you can get her running and reliable again without doing serious damage in the process. These things are mush less work and $$ than the damage you can do by not taking these steps. She has lots of personality and probably lots of life left!

These are NOT AC units, they are evaporative coolers. This car has AC which uses freon to cool the air. Evap units are ok if it's already cold outside. ;) They don't work if the humidity is very high or once the ice is melted.

  27. thx amphicar, your reading my mind... also gonna put a new master cylinder looks shot...
the gas tank and fuel lines are supposedly clean ( the ladies nephew ) but i will double check that...
