I use one of these on my bike. It holds the condom part back. I got this from Aerostich but you could make your own easy enough.

Oregon....isn't that the ****-retentive term used for California?
Try filling a Harley with one of those things - same problemo.

    hmmmmmmm. gotta check that out

  5. I think half the designed purpose of those things is that they are so stiff that they require you to stand there, and hold the nozzle in. If you don't they will push the nozzle back out, and make it kick off. At least that is what I've noticed about them. Any way you look at it, it's another case of the dumbest 2% making problems for the rest of us.

Up here we don't have the nozzle "condoms" but if I don't watch it, it will still blow gas all over the place. Nice thing is that I can hear when its getting full and I'll just slow it down. You know I'm suprised that with the amount of greenies we have up here we don't have emissions ******** to deal with. I know that if we had pump attendants and they blew gas all over I'd blow a gasket on em.

All I can say for the Calif. politicans is they should go to their proctologist and have the craiunal obstruction removed and leave the vehicle code alone. Their hot air puts more polution in the air than any hot rod.

You can't pump your own gas? That is nuts! In Northern Indiana you couldn't find someone to pump your gas if you tried. I would have a real issue with some idiot that can't spell his own name slopping fuel all over the side of my ride. How do they respond to a big bill for repair of a custom paint job?

If all the people who weren't born here in CA would go home (to Omaha, or where ever) we wouldn't need any EPA ****.

There were probably a few indigenous people who said that when your parents (grandparents, whoever) moved to California too. Bigotry is ugly.

On my 67 mustang, it's a 45 degree nozzle angle and half speed to keep it from puking. I've had them spash out quite a bit before, it's a real mess.

Having the beach and *****in' weather year-round trumps a few rules that we always cir***vent anyways....
One tenth of the population of the entire USA currently resides in California. There is a reason for this statistic...

  17. Californian from 1944 to 1970, enter proposition 13, the beginning of the end. Oregonian 1970 to 2002, liberals taking over paradise. Now, hiding in Oklahoma, do what ever you want to your car and concealed weapons for everyone! Let the revolution began!

I think the majority of those not born here will be from a little further SOUTH of here than Omaha. :D

  21. I'm from Texas. Texas is unbelievably dear to me. But, anybody that degrades California doesn't know what their talking about. Hot Rods, Scenery, & Fake ****s. ****ing paradise. Quit crying about your gas pumps and go Surfing. The only thing that ****s about California, (besides home prices), are the Dip-****s that don't appreciate it. On second thought, try smoking while using that ****ty pump.

Dr.J is no bigot, that comment is out of line.

  23. Don't get me wrong, I used to love being a California Native, and thought there was nowhere as good as So-Cal, period. Being in high school during the 60's was the best (cl*** of 62). But something happened when they put a name on the brown air, "smog". After that, anyone who had a personal *****, someone p***ed a law. Then when the rest of the country found out that California was handing out more freebies than anyone else, the flood gates were opened (that's California's fault). Sure, living here in Oklahoma has tornadoes, no mountains, no beaches and it's full of Okies, but its the friendliest place I've ever lived. Say what you will, but living is easy in the South Central States.

Gee makes me want to move to California! LOL. Our gas doesn't even smell like gas anymore with all the **** additives . The gas these days dissolve the inside of rubber fuel lines,I have seen it especially if the car sits for a long period.

Never said I hated Cali....just their stupid *** rules and regulations. Go to the sand dunes and you'll see what I'm talking about.

  26. Yup been there -same thing happened almost tackled me to stop me from pumping myself....
Another thing that happened to me last ime in California[north calif]I noticed that when I took the nozzle off the hook to reach it towards my car it rolled up 3 cents before I touched the trigger.....
thought little of it at the redwoods area station, but in Bakersfield the next day=same damn thing......
was not too happy with the deal....
    And DR J....I agree
I for one am very happy Missouri is as far away from California[ in miles] as it is in MANY other ways....

My 64-72 GM "A"s fueled up best by rotating the nozzle 180*, ie. put it in upsidedown.
