Any help would be appreciated, when going through a box of old parts the other day I refound these 2 chrome brackets. My mind is telling me they are for a 1940 Ford convertible and are the top hold downs that bolt to thw windshield frame? Any one recognize them?? Thanks in advance. Larry

While somewhat similar to a 1940 Ford bracket(s), there remains striking differences.
    These are NOT 1940 Ford.

I had a 40 convertible and was missing the hold down hardware. I found a 40 Merc. conv. and thought my search was over. After closer inspection they weren't anything like the Ford. I agree these are not 40 Ford, but maybe from a Merc?

HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM SOUTH FLORIDA, I HAVE A 40 FORD CONVERT PROJECT AGAIN, AND THESE PIECES LOOK LIKE THE CENTER WOODEN HEADERBAR PIECE THAT THE HOLDOWN LATCH SCREWS INTO. CHECK WWW.WESCOTT.COM AS IT LOOKS VERY CLOSE TO THE PICTURE THEY SHOW, CENTER DOWL SOCKET, PART # OIA-6603465, IF I AM CORRECT I WILL BUY THESE OFF U WHEN I RETURN IN LAST WEEK OF MARCH, BEST REGARDS, RONNY,
