I thought it was an Auburn 8 because of the windshield, but the front bumper doesn't match any pictures I've searched on the web...what the hell is this car? I've got that exact headlight bar and headlights, and I'm trying to find out which car it goes to...help...and I don't want to go to the antique sites...someone here should know the big luxury cars.
27 henney limousine...one of a handful built. Henney was a coachbuilder that ventured into building their own cars for a short time. Your bumper may be an accessory model, or built from two bumpers, or simply adopted from another manufacturer. Henney was an "***embler" of cars except for the bodies - meaning they used off the shelf parts.
ABSOLUTELY!! This exact car was in the Lee Hartung Auction!! Dang, my fault for missing it... http://www.auctionsamerica.com/events/feature-lots.cfm?SaleCode=LH11&ID=r148&Order=runorder&feature=
There's been a 1925 (I think that's right..) Franklin popping up at swap meets here in DFW for the last several years. Really cool looking car, but way too far gone for my skillset.
Thank you so much... You are correct... I checked several pics on the web, and my headlight bar and headlights are definitely !927 Henney...this place never ceases to amaze me. I wonder how rare these things are? $$$
Well Lar, since I have never heard of a Henney, that makes them extremely rare...!!! Didja buy it...??? R-
Always happy to help...As for value, maybe Ebay with a "make offer" option. Or contact someone from the Professional Car Society about placing a cl***ified ad on their site. wild guess but I'd say $2-300 for the bumper if its straight, similar for the headlights.
If you knew where the picture came from, it was too much effort to then peruse the Hartung auction car list for the correct answer..?
Annnnd you must've additionally missed the previous 12 HAMB threads about the auction. Couple of them were good reading seriously though.
