Pigeon Forge is talking about stopping the car shows on the news, mind your manners or this venue will be gone

If they kill the car shows then they will kill the town. The shows bring in probably two thirds of the towns revenue. I've been going to the Rod Run since 87 or 88 and it has changed drastically over the years. The hotels and vendors and especially the police department get rich off of the car guys and show no appreciation for us spending our dollars with them.
I would say if they stop the shows it wouldn't be long before they were begging us back.

I'm just telling whats going on, They really don't car what we think. I won't even go there (45Miles)because of the traffic without a car show.

I visited Pigeon Forge & Gatlinburg earlier this year and was real disappointed. Beautiful scenery, but the towns were nothing more than tourist traps. I love Tennessee, but those two towns are not on my re-visit list, even for a car show.

Used to go every year. They moved to Knoxville. Pat Ford sold the show. Went the first year under new owner and was not happy. Heard they were moving back to Pigeon Forge so we thought we'd try it again. First truck I saw was a chevy...the next a dodge. Burned up with no shade...haven't been back. There's nothing wrong with a single brand show for a change
