Believe it or not, this is a small print of a PENCIL DRAWING done by artist Cheryl Conlin. The original is hanging on the wall in her living room and has to be seen to be appreciated...you'd swear it was black & white photo, but if you get REAL close you can see some of the finer pencil lines and shading.

I'm digging the Cobalt pics. I want to make a joke about big tires on the rear of a FWD car, but those are too cool anyway.

Sure, you might think this is a repeat from a couple weeks ago, but it isn't. When I posted the first one of these, CathyH asked me if it was for sale. I painted up another one for her. Little bigger, and a lot more detailed than the original.

She got it today, so I thought I'd share it with the rest of you:

Guess I'll re-post a couple of my recent Desk Top Art Work cars. I just started another one today, but got interupted by real work, so maybe next week I can show that one off.

For you new guys (and gals) The Desk Top Art Work are all hand formed all steel cars about 8"-10" long and around 3"-4" wide and between 2"and 4" high. Some are my rendition of real cars built from pictures, some are from my feeble mind. They are all numbered, signed, and year dated. Some pictured are long since sold and gone, some are still here and are available. Gene

    Steel Phoenix,
Always good to see your striping designs, they have a refreshingly, unique style.

Here are some clocks I made up, placing my graphics in them. They are much sharper in detail than what my crummy photographs show.

In person the graphics look crisper, more like this digital closeup.

  21. I haven't been doing a whole lot this week due to an ongoing battle with an inner ear infection;in fact I had to cancel several jobs due to the fact I couldn't hardly walk let alone drive.
Anyway I may have posted this last week;I really don't remember.I bought a couple of new style brushes and wanted to try them out.The wings and proboscis were done with the Wizard Typhoon(new brush)and the rest of the design done with my clapped-out Swirly-Q that I use for everything(mostly my license plates).
I realize it's Saturday here, but it's gotta be Friday SOMEWHERE!

This is an old design but revamped. I dont know if you can tell but its 4 layers of 1/2" MDF so its like 3D. I got big plans for the next layered one. The old lady likes it. There is a spider web 5th layer that I cant decide if I like yet. Some friend said it looked good but what do they know.
