Attended the local cruise Thursday night in Carlisle, Ohio. One of the regulars cruiser is very ill and and can't get out so the gentleman that kinda runs the cruise ask if we could all take a ride my his house so he could see the cars and his friends. At 7:00 p.m. about 50 cars left for a real driving cruise in a really cool impromptu old car parade. The ill gentleman's family had him in out in the front yard in a wheel chair with his two cars (63 Nova and a T-bucket). The guy didn't look too good but he sure had a Big Smile as we drove by. Car people are a great bunch no matter what their rides are.
Yup,that's very cool. Probably one of the best days the guy has had in quite a while. Good for you all.
That is cool of you all. Is that a set of real cop lights on that cop car? Can you drive around with those?
I bet none of you can even start to imagine what that meant to him and his family. Good Job everyone.
That's the way this is supposed to work. I version of "no man left behind". Nice move you guys, I'll bet he was feeling better for at least awhile.
I have another story to add.I have a friend in florida who had a stroke.Long time friend ,Well a buddy of mine is driving down there starting out sunday to go down and paint his gto so that they can get top dollar for it ...The car is not hamb friendly by a couple years but its a 67 gto...I just hope he can recover from the stroke. The guy worked at his house on cars for years and now he cant..........Damn shame
......Nice to see something postive going on...car people just know what the right thing to do for other people...
