I bought my bodywork sanding boards from Scotton Mfg at the Pomona Swap Meet last year, and a few years ago also. Now I can't find any website of theirs. It also appears that their website name is now used by another company that sells Scotton tools as well as lots of other sheet metal tools. This company also doesn't call the sanders by that name, and doesn't offer online purchasing. I can only find a few Scotton sanders left on EBay (tool store in Arizona) and they are a some old crusty stock. I like the long sanding boards they made with the formed bases. They stay completely straight. Does Scotton still exist? If so, where can I buy them?
Here you go. Web address is good as well. SCOTTON MANUFACTURING PO BOX 82 LAKE ELSINORE, CA 92531-0082 | view map (951) 674-6454 www.scottontool.com
Why does the web address take me to "Gulley Performance Center"? I realize they sell sanders that must be the same as my Scotton ones, but there is no other reference to or use of the Scotton name. You also cannot buy online... I will try the phone number.
