Never was a huge fan of the 56 chevrolet but this one on ebay has changed my mind.....$80k is steep but damn its a perfect set up
That's way perfect and I second the not a 56 sentiment but if I had the cash I would buy it, or save that money and build one close to that
cheveey57, thats what i thought too....there was a 55 chevy just like this a year ago for sale that was fully documented etc and it was $39k. i may be wrong but i didn't think the 56 was all that desireable....people prefer the 55 and 57
Decent enough car. Tires are too big. I'd build 2 for that price. OK, not really. I don't want a 55-7 Chevy.
210 Hardtop/Sport Coupe. In '56, Chevy only made 18,000+ of them versus 128,000+ Belair 2dr HT/Sport Coupes. I look at the tri-five's on Ebay every morning with my coffee & bagel, for entertainment. That one has been on there for a good long time. Most people like the Belair HT's more than the 210's. While it's a primo restoration, it's top-heavy money for a 2dr HT. Mom & Dad had a red '56 210 HT when I was born, and now I have a blue '56 210 HT. Love 'em... View attachment 210stationr25.bmp Scott/Gotta56forme
I don't think you could build one to that quality level, unless you already had the car, and are one of those rare guys that can literally do everything, mechanical, bodywork, paint , interior, and chrome, yourself. Just my $.02.
I never had the time for any '56s, then one day a guy said, way don't you like them? He said, they make the meanest look-in gassers! Then I saw my '56 gasser on e-Bay and had to have it! Since I like race cars, only a post is what I'd own. But, yes that is a great looking car, just not for me. Mike
I have always liked the '56 first, then '55, and lastly the '57..... Usually prefer the post, but that one does rock !! Cheers....
