1932 cabriolet built from a 5 window

  1. I say screw all the "correct" details and make a cool phantom car out of it. You could have something really nice if you get creative.

Why stop just because the door is a bit longer...I don't get it.

PFFT. I doubt steve even built that car, gold chainer probably bought it like that ;)

in all seriousness if there was one reason I bought my 32 it was because when I saw Steve's car the first time it gave me my first stiffy before I hit puberty!

hmmm I'll see what's up, I'm definitely interested. maybe we could meet at my house first if you want and I could follow you over.

I might go snowmobiling this weekend if there's snow up in vt though so I'll let you know.

how bad is the frame that came with it?? that car HAD to be a big dollar car back in the day. it has to be in some magazine somewhere. with the columbia and the lincoln brakes..... had to be

Like I said, it just depends on what you want to drive. does it have to be a "stock" type body or is "custom" just as cool. I think putting the top back on makes it more of a hot rod where the cabrio would be more custom. both take alot of talent to make look right.

There was a big pile of 32 cabriolet body parts that showed up last spring in Fitchburg Mass at the early Ford V8 club swapmeet. The vendor said it was going back to SoCal if it did not sell.....and I later read about the same package was for sale at LARS 2011.

It had multiples of certain parts, but I forget which. There were 3 of either doors or quarters and 5 of the doors or quarters. I am thinking it was 3 doors and 5 rear quarters.

    Someone here must know.

BTW, there was a 2nd set of doors from another vendor at Fitchburg. Spendy, but I don't recall the amount. If I find out his name, I'd pm you...not sure if I have it.

I heard it was for sale but didn't know if you sold it yet. Can't remember if it was Tim or your brother who told me.

Do you accept first born sons for payment :D

I think they wanted something like 8k for that stack of parts at fitchburg. The guy with the doors must have been making notes about every guy who looked at the body because whenever they walked buy he'd let em know he had extra doors for it.
