I attended a spring show in the center of Copenhagen yesterday. An annual event that i go to every year and as allways there was lots of nice cars. This is for all makes older than 25 years. In the middle of my tour round the site, what really catches my eyes is a real deal survivor '32 model B-400 Being a 4 cylinder this makes it one of only 154 ever produced. What was even better, it has been in the same family since new and its preservation is secure. I had a little talk with the owners and they ***ured med that it would stay patina'ed and unrestored. Enjoy the pics A couple of years ago another B-400, a V8, was sold out of Denmark via Sweden to the US. This was also an unrestored good condition car. I do not know how many was ever sold new here but I have seen a photo of one other than the two mentioned.
Seeing an untouched one like that is like a history lesson that teaches us what they were really like !
i owned the other one that came out of denmark, it know back east someplace, and will stay the same. this is a great car, mine was nice but not this nice, great to see that there afew left.
I'm studying the windshield wiper setup...original? Is the center armrest original? What's the doohickey at the inside bottom of the windshield on the drivers side? ...inquirin' minds...
What a beauty, it gives me a little gut knot remembering how I had one I found and sold it cheap because I thought it was goofy looking. OOPS, muffed another one dummy. Patina on those seats is off the hook. Thanx for sharing that gem with us. ~sololobo~
Interesting piece. Wonder if the car had that Model A taillamp when it was produced? In 1962 my family was living in Furth, W. Germany, just outside Nurnberg, and I had just been bitten by the car bug baddddd. On a car lot there was a 32 B400 for sale for $125 US, 500DM at that time. Don't remember if it was 4 or V8 but it was a damn nice car.
You're welcome guys I was too stoked to see it, to keep it to my self! It really had a lot of interesting add-ons. For instance, the guage on the p***enger side dash (big chrome one) is a device for adding a less-friction oil into the engine. Flow is controlled via two vac***e screws on the side of the guage The extension handle on the e-brake was neat! Pushing down on the handle pivots the extension to depress the e-brake release knob.
