A good friend of mine was in an accident late thursday night and was killed. Mike Bosch "Mikey" was 29, not a computer guy, but loved old hot rods especially 40 Fords. He first fell in love with HAMBer visors old 40 coupe, then Greezy's then I got mine, so the fever hit him hard!. Over past couple years myself and a few other fellow hot rodders started helping him piece together a 40 pickup. He really was at a loss for what to do, so he would trade labor for parts or for labor on his 40. He got an engine from visor, he got the cab from Ben D, I chopped it for him, and help set up the ch***is. and he recieved other parts, advice and help from other locals. It was hard for him to stay focused but we kept him pushing on. He bought a cool old smaller house and he picked many of us clean of old hub caps etc to use as decorations! Visor gave him a deal on an old flathead and he used it as a coffee table. He became sick about old cars the past few years, and I really enjoyed working with a younger guy to keep the torch lit. It saddens me to have lost such a good hearted guy who was really trying to get his life together and all he really wanted in the world was a 40 Ford. I hope is is up there with all my other hot rod buddies that have p***ed on, and hopefully he has the 40 of his dreams now! I plan to drive mine to his grave side tuesday for a last goodby. I'll miss you friend! Love ya , Rusty.
So sorry to hear. 29s way way too young and he sounded like he was working hard and had surrounded himself with the right people to get things done.
Sorry for your loss and the pain you're going through, i cried reading that. I have lost several friends over the years, they are gone but never forgotten, my thoughts are with you.
Sorry for your loss.. Miss one of my best friends still.. Again, sorry, prayers to you and the family. Cash
