    Wow,
A 40 coupe is cool enough, but add that driveline, and it's awesome to me. Looks like a cool interior survived, too.

Maybe you will get lucky on here with an ID.

The story we got is the builders name is Norn Dode. Started building the car in 1954 and finished in the early 1960's, 324 oldsmobile with Herbert solid roller cam and Gotha rocker arms. 1937 la salle gearbox, surplus aircraft gauges mounted under the dash. My Father purchased the car in 1992 from a friend of the builder. The interior has been changed and a few other small changes,

I grew up in Parkrose area, went to Reynolds High School and worked at Van's drivein. I've seen the car a couple of times but never knew the driver.

I met the builder of the car at the "Collector Car" show and swap meet at the Expo, back in the mid-80's. He had it on display, he told me all about it. He said he installed the Herbert roller and the parts in the 50's. I remember it had dual fours, and "wire braid" aircraft hoses, from way back. Doesn't it have a 50 Olds rearend with the "torque arms".
It is quite a specimen of a solid built car from that era. Maybe you should do a photo shoot, with the engine bay and suspension, and display that "Time Capsule" for us.

The car had 1950 olds coil rear suspension but was spooky to drive and ride in I might add. My father had a leaf spring kit installed at Custom ch***is ,not to long before Harold p***ed. The car had a single 4 holley on it by 1992 and all the aircraft lines and gauges are still installed. I will talk to my Father about posting some more photos , should not be a problem

I think I saw that car a time or two in the late 70's or early 80's at a run or two. I need to start digging for the old photos and photo albums that I hope the mice didn't get into.

Sure looks familiar to me. I'm pretty sure I saw it at weekend hangouts like Yaw's, King's, Van's, and all the local places back in the mid 60's. Looks like a great survivor!

gauges from left to right, oil pressure, rpm, manifold pressure , cyl head temp, coolant temp, voltage, hour meter. Other than the coolant temp gauge being a automotive gauge All the other gauges are 1940's aircraft surplus.
