3 damaged stude caps and 4 old falcon spinners hmmmm

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by loc8tor, May 7, 2012.

  1. So I replaced my damaged stude caps that were on my 48 Dodge with a better set, and of course not to many peeps out there looking to spend any serious coin on beat up caps like these, or 1 that someone already drilled holes in for a spinner.....

so Im wondering what to do with them, as they have been riding around in the back of my windstar......
So the other day Im going thru the garage and I found 2 mid 60s Falcon caps with spinners, and the 2 loose spinners I bought for some reason and just never used them

so, Im looking at the loose spinner and thought, hmmm, that might just work.....so I carried it over and I think it looks pretty darn good....

what do you guys think? The best part is it hides nearly all the damage!

Now I need a 4th cap with a damaged center to complete the set!

As a Stude guy I find your modding of a South Bend part to fit a Ford is just frickin genius!

  3. actually.....I had the stude caps on my old dodge, still do, I love the 54/55 caps....thinking about putting the modified "fordabaker" caps on it now......

I like it, you will have the only set around and when some one ask you, you can tell them that they only made then one year, very rare.
