Clearly a Hallock-style windshield would need to be modified to fit on cars other than the '28-'29 model A's, but I'm sure it's been done. Got pics?
Ah ****, I always confuse the two and was going by the rendering of his project. I'll see what I can find and change them.
That Army Green 1930-31 Roadster looks like it has a "Commercial" cowl. Ford sold ch***is with just a Roadster cowl and a truck body company would build a custom body for whatever trade need one. The windshield lower stantion had the top mounting screw cut off and they attached the smooth cowl filler piece were the under the windshield piece was. The strip in red primer is the commercial one.
Beatnik - Thanks for the photos! 37kid - I've heard about that piece. I know that some guys have duplicated the no-stanchion commercial look with some clever bodywork on a standard roadster body, including Bobby Green's roadster. I plan on doing the same with my roadster.
Im going to build one for my RPU, will start it soon and post a how to. Zonkola, keep your eye out for one of those cowl top pieces, i got one , they are a really neat way of doing it and quite a complex shape to replicate, theres gotta be some of em around, discussed this before and a few people agreed would be a great piece for someone to repop.
