Anyone have any pics of 23-25 Model T roadster hot rod? Not T buckets. Without the typical suicide front end.................Anyone?
Yep.. Not even a minute into searching, I found it. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=445856
Skimmed through that thread the other day. I'm not good at explaining what I'm really looking for I guess. I have a pic somewhere. Would like to see more like and get some input/thoughts.
Check this thread out, takes a few pages to get to car photos. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=502216&highlight=gow+jobs&page=4
I think you're looking for T's that are not fad-T's like the late 60's into the early 80's. Like this... But not this... I think a lot of guys do the second style because they can order a kit and build it totally from a catalog without making any stylistic choices. They build it without thought of originality. And that isn't always a bad thing, just makes things boring. The parts I'm gathering to do my T will not be like the second car. Nor like like that of the first car either. My vision is a little different.
I actually think THIS is the only one he needs to see!!!! http://i988.photobucket.com/albums/af3/matthewbridges/IMG_6034-vi.jpg
T Bucket or Fad T? What's in a name? I used to like the Fad T's when I was young and going to the car shows, but they got REALLY over done. So much so, I honestly didn't know they could be built any other way. It's what kept me from building one for a long time. I thought they HAD to have all that extra chrome **** bolted to them. The HAMB gave me a new out look on them. My T Bucket isn't traditional, but it's not a Fad T either. It's just a hot rod. And if they're not Fad T's aren't they still T Buckets? Isn't "T Bucket" a reference to the seating arrangements most have?
I too had a bad taste in my mouth over all the gaudy fad t's, but when I saw Derek Boling's Dodge I knew I could do the same with a T. So I had him build me a frame and rounded up enough parts to peice together my touring modified! I hope to finish it soon, I made it a roller today and will be installing engine and trans this week.
That's the '27 Highboy that Vern Tardel's son Rex built...everything in the right place, the car is very well thought out. (most '27s on Deuce rails are 'long-nosed', and out of proportion. This one has the 'correct' profile)
