Did the 2 ton and the 1/2 ton use the same cab? It seems that the 2 ton might be wider?

I have recently picked up a 1/2 ton truck but it has quite a bit of rot in the floor. Someone has given me the cab from a 2 ton. Its quite a ways away and I haven't had a chance to inspect it yet.

    Any opinions

I know the later ones from 1960 or so and up, the difference was the front fenders as in the C50 and C60 cabs. Measure them both up, hope you can get a good floor out of the deal.

  6. Should be the same- there's a '57 2 ton at a local salvage yard that has the same cab as a 1/2 ton.

The only different cab was the 5000 series, which is a cabover.

they are the same, minus front clip of course. when i was building my 59, i would go out of my way to find the 1+ton trucks for parts because they road so much higher and were a little more solid in most cases.

They are the same. I used a 1959 60 Series cab to replace the original cab on my 55 pickup. I had to make a few small changes, but this was due to using a 59 cab to replace a 55 cab.

The floor wasn't usable. I did get a door panel, drivers side window, p***enger side door latch and kick panels though.
