I have yet to tell my wife, she is a huge Shelby fan. I hope she takes it well. Rest in Peace Mr, Shelby
What an amazing person, life, and inspiration! He had guts, NUTS, and the sheer will to make happen what he wanted to happen. God Bless Carroll Shelby! We should all have his resolve.................. J. Bondurant
working at a place that specializes in restoring mustang shelbys, it will be interesting to see what happens to the price of his cars...... rip
I just read this... it just didn't seem like Carroll Shelby would ever leave us. A great man, a legend in his own time, an icon and a hero! The car world would never have been what it is without him and it will never be the same without him. R.I.P.
What a True American Badass and one hell of a Texan! RIP you done great your short time here and your spirit and efforts will be missed for sure. Thanks for everything. Tim
My buddy just texted me a little while ago and told me. That sucks. At least the "revolution" happened before most of the original icons started dying off.
He fulfilled the dream of making a great living having fun with cars. This Dallas Texas boy fed us muscle cars everyday.
wow! may he rest in peace. he was getting up there in age, he's very lucky got all those wonderful years!
He will definitely be missed. For anyone interested, the Monterey Motorsports Reunion at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in August, The Cobra is the scheduled Marque. I was hoping to have met Carroll this year, as I missed him by less than a hundred feet last year. I was working that far away when he was in an area behind me with about 10 Cobras. So if anyone wants to see an enormous amount of Cobras, and other Carroll Shelby creations, go to the Monterey Motorsports Reunion. It's going to be a great event. I will be there! Enjoying the festivities for once, and not working.
