Hey guys. I am rebuilding the front suspension on my 63 Galaxie. I currently have power steering but I want to simplify things and get rid of the leaky ram system. I know I am going to have to change the tie rods, drag link and idler arm but I was wondering if I can still use my stock steering box and pitman arm. Are there any other parts I need to change?

  2. Yes you can use the stock box but you will need the manual pitman arm, idler arm, center link and the inner and outer tie rod ends. Just did mine a few months back.

  3. I had a '64 Ford wagon, steered great with the manual box in it. I had another with the power steering, always left it's mark when I parked it over night. The above advice should be a big help.

Go to page 127 on the online parts catalog. www.gregdonahue.com.
"Power steering to manual conversion. Easily convert power steering to manual steering. No other parts needed. $230"
