Note to self! Do not use your bare hands to smooth it out. Those edges are sharp. Sliced open a finger on the first piece. The instructions show a small hand roller. I have seen them but where should I look for one at the Depot or Lowes? Do they have a specific name? Thanks
Try hobby lobby or a art supply store. They sell a small roller used for spreading ink for the printing process. Works great and much cheaper than the one dynamat sells
I used a Sharpie for most of the dimples, grooves, and corners. The round end is the same shape as the bead rolls in my floor. A hot day also helps.
Use anything that fits the shape your trying to get into. Screwdriver, ball end of a hammer anything but your hand. It is sharp.
The cheapo plastic roller eventually came off the spindle. Easy fix was to drive an appropriate size lock washer over the spindle. Later my sister reminded me that she has the old time wooden roller with bracket on both sides of the roller.
Does this stuff just glue down? i need to get some for my truck it rattles like crazy and my exhaust resonates through the whole truck
