Can anyone tell me a rough price for a shop to 4 link, bag, and step notch a 48 GMC to lay running boards on the ground? The truck already has MII front but is not set up for bags. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated.
A grand ot twelve hunderd dollars. What fab skills do you have and how much of it will you be building yourself. Bags or shocks also play a part on the equation, if you go with stadnadard bags like you would have found in an Old beacons Furnature truck it will be less than if you for instance go with like Shockwaves types of units like the hopper guys are using.
Let me rephrase what I just said here. A reputable shop that I know of here in the city is going to charge you somewhere in the range of 5K to do the rear of your jimmy. Why don't you just PM a couple of the fellas that are reputable shop owners on here (El Polako comes to mind) and ask what they would charge you. Then you just have shipping to deal with over that. it is going to be pricey no doubt. When I was living out of the country I just put my stateside life on hold until the time that I returned. I know that is probably not acceptable for you, but that is what I had to do.
Just the back then right? Dude is right. usually around there with parts. But should really thik about the front. Or having that done later. PM if you have any other questions. Got a shop in mind yet?
I got a shop in mind in TN but still looking around. I've been looking in the TN/KY area for individuals or shops. It doesn't matter to me as long as they do good work. Hopefully 5k is in the ballpark to do the front and rear. I want the running boards on the ground or damn close so the front and rear will have to be bagged. Anyone have in individuals in mind that do this work in my area? The shops I've contacted are either booked way out, don't return emails, or only do full builds.
I know a couple of good guys in the area, and a couple of shady ones. PM me more info, maybe I can help...
That is a slight change from your original post of bags and a four link on the back. Better double the cost or a little more of you want to use your running boards for an E brake. Not being mean here I'm just sayin'.
yeah shoulda been more clear. I figured the running boards on the ground would be a dead giveaway though...just sayin'
